Our expertise and services

We help our clients manage risk in several aspects. Our starting point is a strong insurance expertise combined with very good knowledge of the maritime industry. Especially in the fishing industry, the wellboat industry, offshore and service vessels, we have long and good experience in consulting and practical customer work. Risk mapping, proposal for risk profile, presentation of customer in the international market, tendering rounds on insurance solutions and administration of insurance schemes, are among the tasks we do for the customer. In addition, we are on the customer's side of the table if a claim is to be settled.
Independent advisor

We are operating completely independent of the insurance companies. We always work for the customer and are always on the customer's side of the table, but of course we have in-depth knowledge of the many players in the industry. Our job is to ensure that customers get the best solutions in the market.

Broker Agreement

Some clients do not need full brokerage services. For some, it is enough to have an independent risk review and a tender round to relevant insurance markets with associated advice on risk profile, coverage and placement. Especially for smaller shipping companies this can be a good solution. We can provide this service as soon as we have permission to operate as an insurance broker.

The customer decides

We always act on behalf of our customers' wishes. It is always the customer who decides which companies he will use in connection with risk relief. Our job is to provide advice that enables the customer to make good and qualified decisions. And of course we treat all customer information confidentially and with the utmost integrity.

Claims settlement

Occasionally our customers have claims. Then it is good to have the right expertise and experiance on your side of the table. Someone who knows the scope, coverage, and processes. And not least, keep the claims process on track. 

Accident and injury support is usually included in an agreement, but can also be agreed separately in individual cases.

Negotiation Help

Most customers we help want to enter into a broker agreement. This means that they have full support from us - 24/7 - throughout the insurance year. This is a well-established service concept that is regulated by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority and we are authorized to operate on this, and we take pride in always to operate in accordance with good brokering practise 

It will be relatively easy to enter into such an agreement and we will operate with a satisfaction guarantee in this area as well.

Costs

A relatively large cost to the insurance industry is to acquire new customers and serve their existing ones. The vast majority of companies therefore provide extra discounts and commissions (marine insurance) for customers they can effectively obtain and operate through a professional operator like us. They do this simply because it is efficient and cost effective. Many companies also do not operate in the "direct market" and can only be reached through people like us. We usually live by a share of this efficiency, which we agree with our customers in advance.

This means that we sometimes have to say no to customers, but in return we can focus fully on the customers we can deliver to.
